Lunch Box Notes
- We all know about the awesome lunch box notes.  These help create beautiful memories and also teach your kids how to read.  Use vocabulary and site words if you have kids in early elementary. Change it up and tell them a funny kid joke. Your child will glow with pride in the cafeteria.

Kids in the Kitchen- Anytime you can share with your child in the kitchen is time well spent.  Food is about memories and family time.  Give them a task and they will be eager to please.  Mixing the ingredients to one of our
homemade condiments is a fun activity.  You can have them play the part of the mad scientist who is mixing their potion!

Activities in the Kitchen- Pizza dough sculptures, make your own play dough, there are tons of fun activities that kids can do around the table.  Use your imagination.

Grandma's Recipes- Bring a sense of heritage to the family kitchen.  Break out your grandma's meatball recipe and a picture of her.  Recipes are passed down, what cool memories can you share with your child?

Books Paired with Meals- We love children's books!  Pair your favorite with a dinner that relates to the book.  For example- Strega Nona and pasta dinner or Green Eggs and Ham with breakfast for dinner!

Themed Family Night- Have your dinner reflect what's going on in your child's life.  If your child is studying something at school, pair a dinner with that.  For example if your child is studying India, go ahead and make a meal that has Indian flavors. Also try a theme night, Italian night, Cuban night, or Movie night.  Pair up your favorite family film with a meal that correlates.

Visit Your Local Farm/Orchard- Some of our fondest memories are of going to our local farm (Butler's Orchard in Maryland to be exact) with our parents to pick fresh strawberries.  This is an awesome family activity!  Pass on the great memories.
